THE
LADIES CIRCLE MEETS EVERY SECOND MONDAY EVENING IN THE CHURCH
HALL AT 8pm.
The
ladies would welcome any gentlemen who would wish to come along
to hear the speakers.
The
Ladies have their Opening Night on Monday 15th September at 8pm
when cheques will be presented to Starter Pack (Dundee) and Trinity
Church. The ladies will discuss their Syllabus and enjoy a relaxed
meal supplied by members of their Committee. The Ladies Circle
is open to all lady members and their friends who would wish to
come along.
On 29th September Mr Ken Slater will give a talk about being a
Wild Lore Ranger in Glenclova. Maybe some men would like to hear
this talk; you would be made very welcome.
The first meeting in October is on Monday 13th when Mrs Victoria
Ramsay from Alyth will be demonstrating how to make Celebration
Cakes. Plenty to taste that evening!
There
is a very varied Syllabus available for the ladies for the Autumn
and Winter sessions.
The Ladies Circle’s first meeting in November is on the 6th when Lorna Duncan, one of our Elders, who went to Sierra Leone at the beginning of the year to help with the Mercy Ship based in Freetown, will give a talk about her experience there. Everyone is very welcome to come along to hear Lorna. Our meetings start at 8 pm.
On 20th November Phyllia Cachia will talk about the art of the painted surface.
A Fiddlers’ Rally will be held in our church on 4th December when the Fife Strathspey and Reel Society will play for us. This will be a toe-tapping evening and again all church members with their family and friends are invited to come along. Refreshments will be served. Tickets are available for this concert from members of the Ladies Circle.
